Textured, clean. Weak.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Yes.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, November 14 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout is small at the lower tide. Around knee high. Might be potential for a long-board glide as the tide come in late morning. There is a little swell at the buoy, but not much showing at the low tide with the north wind.

Winds are north at 5 to 10 knots and surf zone is textured, weak and closing out at the morning’s low tide.

Look for winds to continue moderate from the north until mid-afternoon, when winds become west at 10 knots. Surf zone should remain relatively clean today, with small surf continuing.

Low tide will be at 10 a.m. and high tide will be at 4:20 p.m. (yeah, man).

The Edisto buoy is reading 2.6 ft at 7 seconds in a medium period east/south-east wind swell.

Surf is looking pretty small and clean this morning. Break out the log late morning as the tide comes in if you want to get wet. A cold front approaches overnight an passes our marine area. We see strong off-shore flow to start the work week, and this will blow surf down. Late week, another cold front approaches and should send up some small south wind swell ahead of the front, but nothing to write home about for the next few days at least.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Sunday, before a cold front passes through the region Sunday night. High pressure will then return for early to mid week. Another cold front will approach the area later in the week.”

It’s 48* and sunny. Look for a high of 62* today with sun all day. It’s actually pretty nice weather, if not a little cool.

Water temperature is now 61*.

Sunrise is at 6:49 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:19 p.m.
