Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, November 20th at 8:30 a.m.
A range of new Torq surfboards have arrived at the shop. Come check them out while we still have a wide range of sizes.
Also, water is cooling off quickly after these cold mornings. Come get your wetsuits and accessories before they are gone.
It’s pretty flat out there today. Not much else to say. Morning low tide makes for a nice walk on the beach and looking for shark’s teeth this morning.
Winds are blowing north-northwest at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean.
We see northwest winds today at 5-10 knots, becoming north in the afternoon.
We have a low tide at 10:37 a.m. High tide will be at 4:38 p.m., and low tide will be at 10:48 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.0 foot at 9 seconds in a /south-east medium period swell.
It’s pretty flat today and there’s not much on the horizon, through Monday. There looks to be a swell starting up on Tuesday of next week building bigger for the Thanksgiving holiday work week as low pressure moves into our marine area bringing some warmer temperatures, rain and some onshore flow that could kick up some rideable swell into the middle and latter part of next week. Keep an eye on Wednesday with offshore winds forecasted.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure is expected to build over and just north of the region into early to mid week, while a series of weak low pressure systems move off the Southeast coast. High pressure may build back by Thursday, followed by the potential for another strong cold front to push through the area Friday.”
It’s a chilly 48* with overcast this morning. Look for a high of 55* and partly to mostly cloudy today.
Water temperature is dropping off. It’s running around 60*
Sunrise is at 6:53 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:16 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
