Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, Nov 12th at 8:45 a.m.

With the time change, we have changed our shop hours. We are now open for winter hours from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We will still close at 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Surf at Folly has picked up slightly knee-thigh high weak north-east drifty wind-swell. Overall not looking to hot but it’s the most surf we have had all week.

Winds are currently north/north-east at 15mph making for drifty conditions.

Low tide is 1:09 p.m., High tide will be 6:56 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.2 feet at 7 seconds in short period north-east wind-swell most of which is heading south past our shores.

High angled Northeast wind-swell knee-thigh high for Sunday. This trend should continue into Monday before the surf goes down until mid-week. Long range forecast I’m way more hopeful. Mid-late week we should see significant moisture/low pressure move our direction from the northern Gulf this will interact with our marine area Friday/Saturday we will keep you posted but its looking good. Also beginning to watch a potential tropical development in the southern Caribbean late work week into the weekend next week. Lots to watch but late work week/weekend should have our attention.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A low pressure system will track across the Southeast U.S. this weekend. High pressure is expected to gradually build back in from the north early next week. Another area of Low pressure is forecast to move across the region during the middle of next week.”

Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 67*.

It’s 56* with clouds and wind. Look for a high of 57* today with clouds and a slight chance of rain.

Sunrise is at 6:49 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:21 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
