Time of Report: 10:00
Wave Forecast: Thigh-Waist
Traffic: None
Parking: Lots
Dangers: None

Good morning, this is Brad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Nov.15 at 10:00 a.m.

City Council reiterated that there is to be no surfing within 200 feet of the pier as construction continues. Please abide by these regulations, so we don’t lose the privilege to surf in the area. The City will restrict surfing for two blocks in either direction if the local surf community does not stay 200 feet away. Law enforcement will be enforcing the ordinance.

Surf at Folly is thigh-waist high overall looks pretty fun, yet weak this morning.

Winds are 8-10kts out of the south south-east putting some slight texture to the surf.

Look for winds to change to south- south west, but remain on the moderate side.

We just came off a high at 7:36 a.m. Low tide is at 1:45 p.m., and high tide will be at 7:51 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is down. Virtual buoy data is showing 2.7 ft. at 8 seconds in a medium period south-east swell.

Surf is still out there running thigh to waist high this morning. Overall looks worth it if you’ve not surfed out from this past week and are able to find the occasional gem. This swell will continue its fading trend throughout the remainder of the day today. Looking ahead it looks like we will be resting our arms for the next several days as high pressure dominates our marine area resulting in minimal surf for us.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A series of fast moving cold fronts will cross the region this weekend into next week as broad high pressure remains in place.”

It’s 74* and cloudy this morning, with occasional sun making an appearance. Look for a high of 75* with clouds mixed with some sun throughout the day.

Water temperature is around 70*.

Sunrise is at 6:51a.m. and sunset will be at 5:20 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
