Good morning, this is Brad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, Nov. 3rd at 8:30 a.m.
I hope everyone enjoyed their extra hour of sleep last night! Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour.
We have new Ocean Surf Shop hooded fleece in stock. All of our neoprene is on the floor as well, so you can keep surfing as it cools off!
Surf at the pier this morning is averaging knee to thigh high, with poor conditions. Occasional sets rolling in the waist high range, but overall it looks drifty and sideshore.
Winds are N at 15-20 knots, and there’s a moderate drift.
Look for winds to continue from the N/NE today with gusts up to 25 knots.
We have a high tide at 12:43 p.m. today, and a low tide will be at 6:55 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 ft. at 10.8 seconds in a medium period Easterly swell with NNE winds.
Surf looks to be blown out by the mix of windswell and easterly ground swell. The wave will maintain texture and drift throughout the day as northeast winds continue. High pressure moves into the area for the work week, but we do expect another cold front late week/into next weekend where we’ll see periods of small scale rideable surf once again. It looks as though Friday into Saturday will be our best chance for a fun little run of waves. We will keep you posted throughout the week as new developments take place!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: High pressure will build in today and remain the primary feature through mid week. A cold front will cross the area late week, followed by a return to high pressure next weekend.
We have sunny skies with moderate wind this morning. It’s 54* currently. Look for a high of 66 today.
Water temperature is still around 72*.
Sunrise is at 6:39 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:26 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
