Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, November 5th at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at Folly is looks to have some potential on this mornings incoming. Currently showing knee-thigh+ once the tide gets going expect further improvement.
Winds are moderate North 5-10mph and the surf is nice and clean.
We just came off a low at report time, High tide is at 1:32 p.m. We’ll see the only low tide today at 8:10 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.6 feet at 10 seconds in a ESE swell.
Surf again looks like it could get fun as the day progresses, expect thigh-belly high surf once the tide starts filling in. The remnant moisture from that departing cold front last week had some slight rotation offshore in our window before lifting to the north today. We are seeing the results from that. This swell is peaking at the moment and should gradually start a fading trend from here on out. Swell stays rideable Sunday although smaller. High pressure does dominate our marine area through mid-week and the surf should be on the down side. Go get wet
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through much of next week.’
Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 65*.
It’s 51* this morning with sun. Expect a cool beach day with sun and a high of 73*,
Sunrise is at 7:38 a.m. Sunset is right at 6:27 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
