The island is open and getting cleaned up. It’s shaping up to be a nice fall beach day with sunny skies and warm temperatures. The island is open. Ocean Surf Shop will be open, too.

Coming to you from the Pier this morning with the lower tide, surf is averaging thigh-to-waist high. It could get a push as the tide comes in later this morning. Bring a wetsuit jacket, because it’s a bit chilly with the north wind.

Winds are north-north-west and surf zone is clean. Definitely fun for the longboard as the tide moves in this morning.

We see winds from the north at around 5 to 10 knots today, and surf-zone will be overall clean toady.

We had a low tide at 7 a.m. We have a high tide at 1:41p.m., and a low tide at 8:05 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy 3.3 feet at 9 seconds in a medium period south-east swell.

Looking at the leftovers of the Hurricane Ian swell in the waist high range today. Looks fun out there, if you want to brush off the hurricane clean up grit and get in the water. Surf looks to fade early week as high pressure sets up over our marine area.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “Dry and cool conditions will prevail into mid next week.”

Water Temperature went way down during hurricane Ian. It’s running around 71*.

It’s 65* with clouds this morning. Expect some sun later and a nice beach day with a high of 73*.

Sunrise is at 7:10 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:08 p.m.
