Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, October 8th at 8:30 a.m.

We have wetsuits on the floor for men and women. Tops, Spring, and Full Suits. Come get ready for cold weather surfing with Ocean Surf Shop.

Surfs come down a little bit knee-thigh overall looks like you can have some fun on a log.

Winds are north-west and light making for clean conditions. Expect winds to remain NW 10-15 mph the remainder of today.

Low tide is at 9:49 a.m. High tide will fill in at 4:16 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 6.6ft at 7 seconds in Nort north-east swell mostly moving away from our shores.

Surf as expected has dropped considerably. Surf should stay somewhat down early work week. Looking ahead we have lots of moisture in the western Gulf of Mexico this week that looks to lift to the north-east off our coastline towards the later half of the week. Models are hinting at a potential low developing. It’s a complex scenario this week either way I believe we will have a significant swell maker mid-late work week this up coming week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ A cold front will quickly pass through the region this morning, moving offshore this afternoon. High pressure will then build from the west tonight, prevailing the first half of next week. The weather pattern becomes unsettled the second half of next week.”

 Water temperature is around 74*.

It’s 56* sunshine much cooler out this morning. Look for a high of only 71* today and sunshine. Beautiful fall day.

Sunrise is at 7:17 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:57 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
