Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, September 11 at 8 a.m.

We received a new shipment of Torq boards at the shop, as well as some new Catch Surf Boards. Come grab ‘em. The waves have been fun.

Waves at Folly this morning are averaging knee-to-thigh high. It’s semi-choppy, soft and kind of bumpy, but looks fun for a high volume board.

Winds are south/south-west at 10 knots.

Winds continue from the south-west today at around 10 knots, and we see bumpy surf today.

High tide is at 9:08 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:17 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:39 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 feet at 10 seconds in a long-period east ground swell. Most if this swell is passing by our beaches.

Surf is fading at Folly today, but you might want to head to Florida or the Outer Banks today through Tuesday as the angle of the swell goes more north. Surf looks small at Folly until the middle of the work-week. We have a feeling a low will pop-up off of a stalled frontal boundary late Thursday and Friday of this week, so keep an eye on that for your next session.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A nearly stationary front will remain close by early this week. A weak cold front will then move through late Monday night into Tuesday before stalling just offshore through next weekend.”

Water Temperature is around 83*.

It’s 78* and mostly cloudy this morning. We have a chance of rain today and it’s a humid 84 this afternoon.

Sunrise is at 7 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:32 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
