Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: knee high
Traffic: none

Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, September 8th at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Pier this morning is running in the knee-thigh high range and weak overall.

Winds are SSW at 10 knots, and surf is fairly choppy this morning.

Look for winds to remain from the S today at around 10 knots.

We will have a low tide at 10:05 a.m., and a high tide will be at 4:46 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.3 ft. at 12 seconds in Easterly swell with SSW winds.

Surf continues to drop off this morning.  Mostly weak, small-scale surf for your Sunday morning.  Despite the long period, waves are disorganized and it doesn’t look like a whole ton of fun, but it is rideable on a higher volume board. With Dorian out of the way, we’ll be looking towards the tropics for more storms forming, hopefully with a less damaging path and cleaner surf. For now, it’s just high pressure and steamy temps.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A stationary front will linger over or near the area early this

week then dissipate. High pressure will then prevail through at least Thursday. A disturbance should pass to our south late in the week.

It’s 81* at the beach this morning and sunny. Look for a high of 86* with mostly sunny skies.

Water temperature is around 85*.

Sunrise is at 6:59 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:36 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
