Clean.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flat.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, Sep 24th at 7:45 a.m.

Mornings are getting cooler so come by and check out the wet-suit jackets and spring suits we have in stock. We’ve seen an uptick in people preparing for the fall weather already.

Surf is down today basically flat. Beautiful beach day though in the making.

Surf zone is fairly clean with light variable winds early. Winds will pick up 10-15mph out of the SW later today.

We have a low tide at 9:32 a.m., and high tide will be at 4:08 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 feet at 5 seconds in WSW short period wind-swell moving away from our shores.

Not much for today. Looking ahead our immediate forecast is looking pretty dismal that takes us to mid work-week. Late Wednesday into Thursday look for unsettled weather and onshore ENE winds to start building some short period high angled wind-swell. We also have Tropical Storm Phillipe out in the eastern Atlantic moving towards the eastern Caribbean islands. We will keep you updated on Philippe but for now our best shot of surf this week is Thursday just keep expectations in check.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will build across the region today and remain in place through early next week. An unsettled weather pattern could impact the area by the middle of next week.”

 Water temperature is around 82*.

It’s 67* and sunshine this morning. Look for a high of 83* lots of sunshine today.

Sunrise is at 7:08 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:15 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
