Good morning this is Luke the kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly is very small this morning. It’s flat to maybe knee high.

Winds are light and variable making for clean surface conditions this morning.

Look for winds to pick up lightly out of the south 5-10mph overall it shouldn’t hurt it.

We have a high tide at report time.  A low tide will follow later this afternoon at 2:58 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 feet at 7 seconds in short period ESE swell.

Its basically flat again today for Folly, maybe knee high. Go fishing. High pressure will continue to keep our surf down the remainder of today. A cold front approaches later on Friday and surf should build a little a result. Over the weekend expect knee-waist high surf on the better tides. It will begin to fade on Sunday and turn more flat on Monday. Mid-week next week looks to have another cold front approach and produce a more significant SSW swell for us. Could be a worse forecast I think their will be opportunities to get wet within the next week!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Friday. A cold front will move through Saturday, followed by cool and dry high pressure. The next weather system could approach towards the middle of next week.”

Its beautiful this morning mid 60s with ample sunshine. Look for temps to begin to climb into the upper 70s with sunshine continuing.

Water temperature is 69*. Them fish are biting.

Sunrise is at 6:46 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:51 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
