Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, December 10 at 8:30 a.m.
We just received a shipment of the new John John Florence models in the Pyzel softboard series. Come check them out. We also just received a new shipment of Torq funboards just in time for Christmas. Come check them out.
Surf at Folly is flat and weak this morning.
Winds are north-west at 5 knots, and surf-zone is clean.
Look for north winds increasing to 10 knots late morning, going south-east this afternoon. Surf zone should get semi-choppy this afternoon, but still no surf.
There is a low tide at 9:39 a.m., and a high tide at 3:39 p.m. The next low tide is at 9:57 p.m.
Virtual buoy data isn’t really worth mentioning. There is not much swell out there today. Better day for a boat ride.
Unfortunately, we don’t expect too much surf over the next several days as we see off-shore flow in the forecast much of the work-week. The weather is very nice, though. We could see a quick shot of south-west wind swell Sunday, but it’s not anything to write home about. Then, a low moves over our marine area with a quick shot of south wind swell late Monday into Tuesday morning.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through late week. A cold front is expected to cross the region Sunday, followed by a series of quickly moving low pressure systems on Monday and Wednesday next week.”
It’s sunny and 46* this morning. Expect lots of sunshine today and a high of 60*.
Water temperature has dropped to 58*.
Sunrise is at 7:11 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
