Surf at Folly is flat and cold. The surf zone is clean.
Winds are north at 5 to 8 knots.
Look for north-easterly winds at 10 knots today, and surf zone get a bit bumpy with small waves continuing.
We have a high tide at 9::17 a.m., and a low tide will be at 3:43 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:39 p.m.
Virtual buoy data is showing 1.6 ft. at 9 seconds in a medium period east/south-east swell.
We don’t expect too much surf this week. We should see another shot of poor-quality, pre-frontal south-west wind swell on Saturday ahead of another cold front. As with most swells this time of year, we see choppy, drifty south “suck up” wind swell on Saturday morning with surf rapidly dropping after the cold front moves past Saturday afternoon. Surf could clean up sometime on Saturday, but it’ll be a quick one. Keep your eye on the flags.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will persist through tonight. A cold front will push offshore late Friday night, followed by high pressure through much of next week.”
It’s a beautiful morning at the beach. It’s 45* with sun. Look for sun and increasing clouds later with a high of 60* today.
Water temperature is around 61*.
Sunrise is at 7:06 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:12 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
