Good morning, this is Evan with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for February 15, 2024.
Not a ton going on today as far as the surf. From the pier to The Washout.
Winds are West at around 5 knots increasing to 10 knots from the south this afternoon. Today should be another nice beach day too.
We have a high tide at 12:11 p.m. Low tide will be at 6:13 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 foot at 11.4 seconds in a long period east-north-east ground swell.
Look for smaller surf today and tomorrow. This trend lasts through the weekend, as of now. Looking like a possible low pressure system starting to form off of our coast early next week, but it’s early. We’ll keep you updated. Meanwhile, enjoy this nice weather.
Water temp is around 59*.
The NOAA Marine Forecast for our waters calls for: “High pressure will prevail into late week, before a cold front moves through on Saturday. High pressure will return early next week.”
It’s 56* and sunny with light winds. Look for a nice day with a high of 62*, light winds and sun.
Sunrise is 7:02 a.m., Sunset 6:04 p.m.
