Surf at Folly this morning is flat, with strong off-shore winds blowing the surf down.

Winds are north/north-west at 15 to 20.

Look winds to decrease from the north-west at 15 knots this afternoon. Surf stays small, and surf zone stays relatively clean today.

We have a high tide at 10:05 a.m., and a low tide at 4:04 p.m. The first high tide will be at 10:05 am and the next high tide at 10:13 pm.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1 ft. at 10 seconds in a long-period easterly swell, with a west/south-west wind swell 6.2 ft. at 6 seconds blowing surf away from our beaches

Today, high pressure and off-shore winds will blow down the surf as the temperature dropped overnight again after a cold front. Surf looks to get small for Friday, the weekend, and into early next week. Another frontal boundary approaches Tuesday of next week, and surf could pick up in another quick shot of south wind swell on Tuesday.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Friday, with a weak and dry cold front expected Friday night and early Saturday. High pressure will again prevail into early next week. A cold front could approach during the middle of next week.”

It’s 45* with a wind-chill of 39* this morning. Look for sun today and a high of 54*.

Water temperature is around 56*.

Sunrise is at 6:549 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:14 p.m.
