All of our boardshorts have been marked down 40%, and we have a great selection.
Surf still holding showing thigh to belly high on occasion on this mornings high tide. Winds have become more light overall give it a go. I would let the tide drain out a bit.
Currently winds are west 5-10mph making for clean conditions today.
We have a high tide at report time, low tide will drain out at 2:00p.m.
The Edisto buoy is currently reading 5.2 at 9 seconds from the SE
Surf has lost size since yesterday although still showing a waist high+ wave out there. Swell is fading through today. Looking ahead, we have another strong system approaching tomorrow afternoon, winds will clock around hard SE and surf will build as a result. Winds will rotate more favorably offshore Friday night cleaning things up, that said Saturday morning is a highlighted time frame. Swell will fade out gradually Saturday and this trend continues into early work week. Long range I am really liking how Tuesday is looking around mid-day. Look for a low to develop in the northern Gulf and quickly skirt off northern Florida right into our honey hole window, winds will be strong onshore early Tuesday but once this coastal low moves more northerly as forecasted we can expect winds to swing around offshore. We will keep you posted on that one as these coastal lows that hug the coast any little shift can make or break timing. All for now keep it Glassy Charleston.
NOAA Forecast: “High pressure will continue today before a storm system impacts the area Friday into Friday night. High pressure will return over the weekend. Low pressure could lift up the Southeast coast early next week.”
Current water temp: 57*.
It’s 43* this morning and sun mixed with clouds We have a high of 62* with passing clouds.
Sunrise is 7:22 a.m., Sunset 5:30 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
