Weekly Wave Forecast

We see surf begin to build some late day in a fresh easterly wind swell, then a series of storm systems begin its push through our marine area for Friday and into early next week. This should build another significant south wind swell tomorrow and into the weekend, with moderate-to-strong south winds increasing Saturday. Look for waves to average chest high (plus) for the period. Disturbances then move off-shore on Sunday, when we south-west winds adding some bump and chop to the surf zone. We forecast significant trade wind swell through the middle of next week as high pressure sets up well off the Mid-Atlantic states, with more on-shore flow predicted. Surf looks to fall off late next week. Plenty of surf in the forecast for the next six days. Wax ‘yo stick.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail into Friday. A series of fronts will then bring unsettled weather to the area this weekend into the middle of next week.”
