Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, July 27th at 7:30 a.m.
Coming to you from the pier. It’s FLAT. I don’t think it can get any smaller. It’s glassy
Winds are calm, and surf-zone is clean.
We expect southeast winds starting at 5-10 kts and increasing to 10-15 kts as the day progresses
Low tide is at 8:59 a.m. High tide is at 3:44 p.m. Next low tide is 10:08 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 0.7 feet at 10 seconds in a medium-period south-east swell.
With high pressure set up over our marine area for the foreseeable future, it’s going to be hard to see much surf tomorrow. We may have a little wind swell develop this weekend.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through this weekend. A cold front will approach the region early next week, possibly stalling nearby into midweek.”
Water temperature is around 85*.
It’s 80* and sunny this morning. Expect sunny to partly cloudy and hot today with a high of 87*. It’s gonna be warm out, but another beautiful day at the beach.
Sunrise is at 6:29 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:22 p.m.
