Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, June 1st at 8:30 a.m.

While the surfs down come get on a kayak or Sup with our friends @castaway.with.us

Surf at the Folly around knee-high and looking pretty weak overall.

Winds are east/north-east at 10 + knots, and surf is weak and semi-choppy.

We had a low tide before report time at 6:10 a.m. low tide drains out at 12:17 p.m  with another high to finish our day at 6:52 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 ft at 5 seconds in a short period period swell from the NE.

Surf should be pretty small through the end of the week. A good week to begin surf camps. North-east swell could pick up late week as a broad weak low pressure system moves off the coast of Florida Saturday meanwhile a high pressure will sit just to our north. This will keep our winds NE for bit of time over the weekend. Most of this swell unfortunately will will pass our South facing shores to Florida. I will make an update if this Low pressure favorably makes any changes for us.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “  High pressure will expand across the area from the north through early next week.”

Its 72* with a mix of sun and clouds look for a high of 78*

Water temperature dropped back to 70* with the short cold snap. It’ll be warm again before you know it.

Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.
