Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, May 26 at 8:30 a.m.

We just received a full shipment of Torq boards, Carver Surfskates and much more. Swing by and check it out.

Waves at The Washout this morning are ankle to knee high in a short period easterly wind swell.

Winds are east  at 10 to 15 knots, and surf-zone is choppy.

Looking for winds to come out of the south-east at 10 to 15 this afternoon. This should increase the surf slightly at the higher tide this afternoon, with choppy conditions in the forecast.

We have a low tide at 11:38 a.m., and a high tide at 6:06 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 6 seconds in a shorth-period, small, mixed easterly wind swell.

Look for a slight uptick in south wind swell on the higher tide late this afternoon, but nothing to write home about. Surf increases in a choppy south/south-west wind swell Friday. This cleans up and drops by Saturday mid-afternoon. Hopefully there will be some clean leftovers Saturday morning before the surf fades out. Surf looks to fall off for Sunday as high pressure sets up once again. Surf looks small into the middle of next week, with some swell maps showing a tropical low forming in our wave window, but don’t count on it just yet.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A few weather features will lead to periods of unsettled weather through Friday. Drier conditions should then return this weekend through at least early next week.”

It’s 78* with hazy sunshine this morning. Look for a mix of clouds today with a high of 80*

Water Temperature is still around 80*. Here comes the bathwater.

Sunrise is at 6:14 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:19 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
