Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, November 11 at 8:30 a.m.
We received a shipment of men’s and kids’ neoprene jackets from Billabong. Come check them out while we still have some in stock.
Surf at The Washout is more-or-less flat this morning at the lower tide.
Winds are north-east at 8 knots, and surf-zone is textured and weak.
Look for south-east winds at 10 to 15 knots this afternoon and a slowly building short-period south-east wind swell late afternoon.
Tide is coming in. High tide will be at 1:32 p.m. Low tide will be at 7:40 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2.3 ft. at 11 seconds in a long-period east/south-east swell.
Look for south-east wind swell to start building this afternoon, but certainly nothing to write home about today. for a small but rideable clean up sometime Friday after a cold front passage when winds go west. Keep an eye on the flags for Friday morning. Surf looks small into the weekend as off-shore flow increases and high pressure sets up over our marine area.
Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “A cold front will move through Friday morning followed by another cold frontal passage Saturday night. Cool and dry high pressure will then prevail for much of next week.”
It’s 64* with sunshine this morning. Look for a high of 71* today with increasing clouds this afternoon.
Water temperature is going down. It’s now 60*.
Sunrise is at 6:46 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:21 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
