Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, December 2 at 8:30 a.m.

We just received a big shipment of Catch Surf boards, including Logs, Fish and Beater Originals. We are also stocked up on travel bags and day bags. Come by and check it out.

Surf at The Washout is flat. Maybe knee high, so I guess technically it picked up some.

Winds are very light from the south-west at 5 to 8 knots, and surf zone is a little bumpy.

Look for winds to continue south-west today at 5 to 10 knots, with a bumpy surf zone and small surf today.

Low tide will be at 11:54 a.m. high tide will be at 5:48 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 ft at 11 seconds in a long-period easterly swell. There is a small, short-period north-west wind swell blowing against it.

We have small surf again today and The flat spell continues. Surf looks small at Folly for most of the work week with high pressure set up over our marine area, bringing us beautiful weather and small surf for most of the work week. This continues through the weekend. There is a glimmer of hope for next week as swell should increase Tuesday into Wednesday ahead of a series of cold fronts that should move through our marine area. This should create some on-shore flow and increase in the surf.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through the week. A few cold fronts could impact the area early to mid next week.”

It’s a beautiful morning at the beach. It’s 64* and sunny. Look for a high of 67* and sun today. We have beautiful beach weather with not many people around.

Water temperature is 57*.

Sunrise is at 7:04 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
