“November sun is felt by none, a chilly breeze has blown my thoughts to what’s to come.”

Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, Nov 2nd at 8:30 a.m.

It’s cold out and the wind is blowing. Surf at Folly is thigh-waist high in high angled drifty conditions from the ENE. Looks ok its pretty windy side-offshore conditions. If you want some, get some.

Winds are north/north-east this morning around 14 mph and should continue through the remainder of today. Temps will get to just below 60* around noon, so not a bad time to get out there if you are looking to surf a little.

High tide is at 11:49 a.m. We’ll see the only low tide today at 6:15 p.m..

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.2ft at 7 seconds in NE wind swell.

Surf currently in the thigh-waist high range early. This swell will tapper off as strong NNE winds will begin to knock it down. Looking further ahead high pressure moves in over the central eastern seaboard producing strong NNE winds and keeping the surf down the rest of the work week. Some moisture from yesterdays front stalls well offshore and lingers around with some models hinting at some development into a weak low that could shove some weekend surf. We will keep you updated

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region through early next week. A trough of low pressure will develop offshore Friday and persist through the weekend. A cold front could then approach the area near the middle of next week.

Water temperature is around 67*.

It’s 44* this morning and feels like 38* with sunny skies and gusty winds. Temperatures only climb to 59* today but Oceans got all the warm gear at the shop come swing in!

Sunrise is at 7:34 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:30 p.m. Last light is right at 6:58 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
