Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Thursday November 30th at 8:30 A.m.
Surf at Folly is as flat as it gets
Winds are light and variable all day today making for clean surface conditions.
We have a high approaching at 9:44 a.m. and the tide will drain out to low at 4:13 p.m.
The Edisto buoy currently reading 1.6ft at 8 seconds in E swell basically as lifeless as it gets.
Again surf is currently flat thanks to our high pressure settled over our area. This trend unfortunately continues to close out our work week tomorrow. We may get some slight relief over the weekend as a front looks to interact with our marine area Saturday, although don’t expect much, thigh high sets may be all we see. High pressure returns later on Sunday again keeping the surf down. Only hope I am seeing is a gigantic low looks to develop in the Northern Atlantic next week and sling a significant NE swell to Florida. So a road trip may be in the cards for the ambitious.
NOAA Forecast: “High pressure will prevail across the region today. A warm front will shift through the area Friday, before a cold front arrives early next week. High pressure will then prevail during the middle of next week. “
Current water temp: 59*
Cold morning this morning high 30s with sunshine, look for temperatures to climb as the day moves out highs in the low 60s.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop Well check back in tomorrow.
