Surf at Folly this morning is pretty flat

Surf is flat today. We may get some relief tomorrow as we have an approaching system that will rotate our winds out of the south Friday night before winds blow more offshore on Saturday as the system moves out. This will be a quick shot of short period swell maybe thigh-waist high. That swell will fade into Sunday. Further ahead we now have Tropical Storm Tammy in the Eastern Caribbean islands former invest 94L. Tammy moves our general direction with swell filling in Sunday night into Monday before fading out on Tuesday. Expect about chest high ground-swell from Tammy roughly 12 seconds in period as it fills in. Surfs on the way.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ Cool and dry high pressure will linger through Thursday, with a cold front is expected to bring impacts to the area late week into early this weekend. High pressure should return early next week.”
Water temperature is around 72*.
It’s chilly this morning. It’s 57* and sunny. Look for sun and a high of 74* and sun today. We have perfect fall beach weather.
Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:48 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
