Surf looks pretty small and choppy today with building, choppy north-east wind waves. High pressure sets up over our marine area today, as a frontal boundary stalls to our south-east. This will bring strong north-east winds and high angled, short period north-easterly conditions Friday through Sunday. It’ll be drifty down the beach and likely average thigh to waist high Friday through Sunday. We now have Tropical Storm Fiona in the picture, moving into the Caribbean this weekend. This could push some hurricane swell into our beaches by the middle of next week. That’s the next swell to keep an eye on.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail inland while a stationary front lingers well offshore into the middle of next week.”
