As the morning temperatures begin to cool off, come by and check out the wet-suit jackets and spring suits we have in stock. Come and get’em before they are gone.
Surf is beginning to build thigh-waist high should get bigger as today moves on. Winds not to bad early and it looks like it could get fun later tide push.
Winds are moderate out of the NE this morning 10-20mph and that continues for our marine area throughout today.
We have a high tide at 12:47 p.m. and low tide is at 7:26 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.9 feet at 6 seconds in fresh building medium period swell.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will linger over the area today. Coastal low pressure could affect the region later this week into early this weekend.”
Water temperature is around 82*.
It’s 70* and feels great this morning. Look for a high of 79* sun mixed with heavy “tropical” rain squalls.
Sunrise is at 7:06 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:19 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
Surf is currently building due to a low pressure system currently getting its act together just off our coastline. Currently thigh-waist+ and doesn’t look to shabby. This low looks to move north later tonight into tomorrow rotating our winds more favorable offshore for tomorrow into Saturday. Models keep bouncing back and fourth for timing when the winds will actually make that turn. Either way we will have moments of glory in the next 48 hrs surf wise. Surf tappers off on Sunday and early work week. Looking ahead we are seeing a moderate low pressure form north of the Caribbean islands later next week as well. Lots to watch
