Thursday Washout

Good morning, this is EazyE with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 8 a.m.

Santa brought waves for Christmas Eve and a small wiggle on Christmas, unfortunately that present has left and folly is back to looking like crap…

Surf at Folly is running shin-knee with a bigger set and winds are Northeast at 10-15 knots. If you can brave the cold, well, just don’t. It sucks.

Tide is lower as of report time. We have a high tide at 4:20 p.m., will have a low tide at 10:28 p.m.

Bouy is reading 6.6 feet at 7 seconds in a medium period ENE swell.

Your NOAA Marine Weather forecast for our waters calls for a; “High pressure will reside inland today, while a coastal trough lingers offshore. The trough could shift inland Friday into Friday night. A cold front is expected to slowly push across the region this weekend into early next week. Another cold front could impact the area towards the middle of next week.” In other words, its about tobe cold!!!

The water temperature is around 54*.

It’s 46* with clouds and the wind-chill is 32*, so bundle up. 4/3 recommended.

Sunrise was at 7:21 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:21 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
