Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, December 26th 2017.
All shoes and apparel are marked down 20-40% so come do some shopping with us and stock up on neoprene while you’re here!
Surf at the Washout this morning is less than knee high.
Winds are NNE at 18 knots and surf is side shore.
Winds will remain NNE at 10-15 for the next couple of days as the temperature drops in the area.
We’re coming off a low tide now. High tide is at 1:09 p.m. and low tide will be at 7:30 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 3 ft. at 4 sec. in short period NNE wind swell.
As winds continue to blow from the NNE, temperatures will remain cold and surf conditions are not optimal. Chances of rain are scattered throughout the week which may clean up the surf conditions temporarily, but swell is not expected to increase in the coming days.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail to the north today. An upper disturbance will move through Wednesday, followed by another system Thursday and Thursday night. Cold high pressure will build in Friday through the weekend. A low pressure system may affect the area early next week.”
It is 40* and sunny this morning. We expect sun and a high of 52* today.
Water temperature is around 55*.
Sunset is at 5:20 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:20 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
