Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, June 5th at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at the Washout is less than knee high.
Winds are NNW at 3 knots. Surf zone is perfectly clean.
Look for S winds to move closer to 5 knots as the day progresses.
High tide will be at 1:19 p.m. and low tide will be at 7:10 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 1.6 ft. at 5 seconds in south-east medium period swell and north-west wind swell mix.
Surf is not expected to pick up today or over the course of the week. Summer doldrums are upon us, but stay tuned, because so is hurricane season!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry conditions will persist through midweek. Atlantic high pressure will then prevail offshore while low pressure settles inland late week into the weekend. A backdoor cold front should approach the region early next week, bringing more unsettled conditions to the area.”
It is 79* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 87* with partly cloudy skies this afternoon.
