We’ll be having our “Schwack” Friday sale starting the day after Thanksgiving, with 25% off Sunglasses, apparel and more, as well as $125 off of any NEW board in the shop, excluding soft-boards (we’ll mark those down as well). Make sure to check it out and save some money on your Christmas gifts.
Waves at the Washout are knee high with a thigh high set in a building south-east wind swell.
Winds are north/north-east at 10 knots. Surf is side-shore and semi-choppy.
We have a high tide at 9:22 a.m., and a low tide at 3:36 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:28 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 3 ft. at 5 seconds in short period east/south-east wind swell.
We see building south-east wind swell today with easterly winds at 10 knots this afternoon. Surf should average thigh high today with the possibility of a waist set toward dark. We see a series of low pressure systems move off/near-shore Wednesday and Thursday, and we expect waist to chest high south-easterly swell for Wednesday, as surf builds overnight. Winds stay light from the north Wednesday, so it might be work a check tomorrow. North-east winds and east/south-east swell should increase on Thanksgiving Day. Look for a higher east/north-east angle in the swell Friday and into the weekend, as well fades some late in the holiday weekend. Mid-week looks to have some pretty fun surf, so there is some surf on tap to go with your turkey and cranberry sauce.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Low pressure will pass off the Southeast coast today and tonight. High pressure will build in from the west Wednesday before another low pressure system moves up the coast Wednesday night and Thursday. A cold front will shift through the area Saturday night, followed by dry high pressure through the middle of next week.”
It’s a cool 57* this morning and cloudy. Look for sunny skies today with a high of 69* and a 50% chance for a rain storm today.
Water temperature has dropped to 60*.
Sunset is at 5:15 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:54 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
