Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast Tuesday, April 26 at 8:30 a.m.

We have a new shipment of Stewart Epoxy boards at the shop, including Redline 11 and 2 Funline models. Come check them out.

Waves at The Washout this morning are knee high and the wind is on it. We are headed into low tide, so we don’t expect much improvement for the day as the winds increase.

Winds are currently southwest at 10 knots.

Winds will continue out of the southwest today increasing to 10-15 knots with gusts to 20 knots this afternoon. Tonight we see winds southwest around 10-15 knots going northwest after midnight.

We have a low tide at 11:21 a.m. High tide will be at 5:40 p.m. The next low tide will be at 11:49 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.2 feet at 7 seconds with a wind swell out of the south-west.

Not too much out there today. Winds will increase out of the southwest throughout the day. May have a little drifty surf if you feel like getting in the water. We have a cold front pushing through tonight and winds go strong offshore overnight into Wednesday morning. Could be a clean wave Wednesday morning or it could be flat. Later in the week we see an easterly flow headed into the weekend which could possibly give us a small rideable wave.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A cold front will impact the region tonight, followed by high pressure into next weekend.”

It’s currently 72* and partly sunny at the beach. Look for a high of 77* with partly cloudy skies and breezy.  Chance of thunderstorms this evening and overnight.

Water Temperature is around 68*.

Sunrise is at 6:37 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:57 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
