Good morning, this is Eazy-e with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast fo r Tuesday, April 30 at 8:30 a.m.
We have a ton of spring-suits and jackets in the shop, so as we get some spring swell, come check it out and stay warm with Ocean Surf Shop.
Surf at Folly has dropped slightly about knee high. Looking like the tide will help out once it rolls back in. Still a rideable wave out there just lost a little steam and wants more volume.
Winds are currently S around 10-15mph increasing to 20 kt this afternoon.
We just came off a low tide at 7:23 A.M., a high is tide approaching at 1:01 p.m. with the tide dropping out to low at 7:17 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3 feet at 8 seconds in medium period ESE swell.
High pressure sits well offshore generating some onshore flow. Showing thigh-waist at the moment.. Surf should drop slightly over the next few days although its still looking to be rideable on the right equipment through mid-week. Nothing to get to excited about but it will at least get us in the water early-mid week.
our National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through much of the week. A weak disturbance will move through today and Wednesday, then a weak cold front will stall in the vicinity this weekend.”
Water temperature is hovering right around 64, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings and evenings. It’s a currently 69 sunny mixed with clouds and breezy. Today will be partly cloudy with a high of 75* .
Sunrise 6:34 a.m., Sunset 8:01p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
