Clean. Choppy this afternoon.
Good morning, this is Ada and some random kid I barely know with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday August 16th at 8:30 a.m. Hope all the kids enjoy their last day before school. Lineups clear out starting tomorrow.
Waves at Folly this morning are flat-to-knee-high. It’s small out there again today.
Winds are still, and surf zone is clean.
Look for winds to pick up out of the southwest at 5-10 knots today. We see choppy, small surf this afternoon.
High tide will be at 12”06 p.m., and low tide will be at 6:13 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 0.7 feet at 8.3 seconds in a medium-period, easterly swell.
We see leftover south-west wind swell in the water. It’s looking pretty small for the workweek with not many swell-makers in our vicinity. Hey, at least it’s a good week to get back to school, because this week’s forecast is pretty dismal.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A cold front will move into the region tonight and Tuesday, lingering in the vicinity through late week.”
Water Temperature is around 84*.
