Good morning. This is Chad with a your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Tuesday, August 20th at 8:30 a.m.

Surf this morning has a few knee slappers clean, but overall pretty weak. If you are bored or just need to get in the water it’s beautiful out.  Looking forward to seeing everyone out at Surfer’s Healing tomorrow.

Winds are northerly at 5-7 mph. Winds turn out of the east around 10 mph before going northeast tonight.

We have a high tide at 8:44 p.m. Low tide will be at 2:53 pm with a high tide at 9:21pm

Edisto buoy is reading 2 feet at 6.2 seconds with a fading swell easterly swell.

This morning is super clean with the offshore winds. It’s pretty small as any swell out there is fading away and mostly passing us a by. There are a few little cruisy waves at the pier sneaking in for the bigger boards, otherwise pretty weak. We see prevailing northeast winds the rest of this weak. May get a little dirfty wind swell over the weekend.

NOAA marine weather forecast for our area: “A weak front will meander offshore as high pressure prevails inland through the weekend.”

It’s 78* and clear. Look for a humid day with a high of 88* and sunny.

Sunrise: 6:47 am, Sunset 7:58 pm

Water temp is still mid-80s, but that will change as we head into September.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. Check back tomorrow!
