Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, December 1 at 8:30 a.m.
We received a limited number of Album, Catch Surf and Ben Gravy soft-boards. Come get them before they are gone.
Surf at Folly is flat-to-knee high and soft. It’s super drifty up the
Winds are west at 15 to 18, and surf is side-shore, drifty and crossed-up. Doesn’t look very inviting this morning.
Look for gusty westerly winds to continue today at 15 to 20.
High tide is at 8:04 a.m., and low tide will be at 2:25 p.m. The next high tide will be at 8:26 p.m.
Virtual buoy data showing 5 ft. at 5 seconds in a west/south-west wind wave.
Cold high pressure sets up for the middle part of the week, and we don’t expect too much surf this week. We should see another shot of pre-frontal south-west wind swell on Saturday ahead of another cold front. As with most swells this time of year, we see south “suck up” wind swell on Saturday with surf rapidly dropping after the front moves past Saturday night.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “Cold high pressure will slowly build in and persist through Thursday. A coastal trough develops Friday prior to low pressure developing over the Florida Panhandle. A cold front will then push through the area Saturday. High pressure gradually builds thereafter.”
It’s a cold, sunny 41* this morning. Expect cool weather today with a high of only 48* and sun with wind.
Water temperature is around 63*, and will likely be dropping some over the next few days.
Sunrise is at 7:04 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:12 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
