Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, Dec 3 at 8:30 a.m.
An Ocean Surf Shop gift card is a great Christmas gift for the surfer in your life. We can even take a credit card over the phone and mail the gift card for you, so come on by or give us a call at (843)588-9175.
Surf at Folly this morning is flat.
Winds are north-westerly at 5 knots, and surf zone is very clean.
Look for winds from the west today at 5 to 10 knots, and we see a clean surf zone today.
High tide will be at 12:51 today. Low tide will be at 7 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 ft. at 5 seconds in a west/south-west swell with a north-west wind-swell 2 ft at 4 seconds. Most surf is headed away from our beaches.
Unfortunately, surf looks small for the work week. Our next chance for swell looks like it will take place this weekend as another storm system effects our marine area, brining short-period north-east wind waves building Saturday, with swell once again rotating more on shore for some better conditions late day Sunday into the eastly art of next week, as high pressure sets up off the Mid-Atlantic coast and a warm front lifts north into our marine area, but we’ll keep an eye on that forecast for you.
It’s a cold 41* today with sun. Expect a high of 56* with sun and some clouds mixed with sun by afternoon.
Water temperature is now 58*
Sunrise is at 7:05 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:12 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail through the week. A cold front should pass through Friday night, followed by high pressure building north of the area over the weekend. A warm front is expected to lift north of the region early next week.”
