Waves at the Washout are flat to knee high. It’ll likely push a clean thigh high long-board wave on the incoming tide mid-morning.
Winds are north/north-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is clean.
Look for north-east winds at 5 knots this afternoon. Surf zone will be relatively clean.
Low tide will be at 9:53 a.m., and high tide will be at 4 p.m. The next low tide is at 10:06 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2 ft. at 8 seconds in a east/south-east swell. Not too much swell at the buoy.
Surf through Wednesday looks small. Maybe rideable on the longboard. A storm system begins to effect our weather on Thursday, when we see a building south-east wind swell during the day on Thursday into the waist high range with south-easterly wind swell building. Winds go strong south-west overnight Thursday, and look for big, choppy south/south-west wind swell for Friday. This cleans up and quickly fades on Saturday morning as the storm system moves north, and high pressure sets up over our marine area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry high pressure is expected through Wednesday. A storm system will then impact the area Thursday and Friday, followed by cooler and drier high pressure through early next week.”
It’s nice at the beach. It’s 45* and sunny this morning. Look for a partly cloudy day and a high of 61*.
Water temperature is 56*.
Sunrise is around 7:15 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:15 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
