Good morning this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Tuesday December 26th at 8:30 am.

Surf is about chest-head high, wind is straight onshore so it’s a bit jumbled up but definitely worth a go and looks fun.

Winds are ESE around 10-15mph+ again its not hurting it to badly.

We had a high tide just before report time. Look for the tide to drain out at 1:41 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 9.5ft at 8 seconds from the SE.

Surf has continued to build showing head high sets as of this morning. A weak low attached to this front moves off south Florida today and moves up our general direction. This could further build our surf through today. This front and low pushes through and look for  a cleanup on Wednesday. Swell should then tapper off gradually from there on as high pressure moves back in. Surf should then stay down until early next week its looking likely we should have a strong low move off the SE coast. Well keep you updated overall not a bad forecast at all weve got surf!

NOAA Forecast: “ A low pressure system will bring impacts to the local area today through Tuesday. High pressure will then build into the region through the remainder of the week.”

Current water temp: 57*

It is 54* with clouds and showers Look for a high of 67* with rain moving in around mid-day.

Sunrise is 7:18 a.m., Sunset 5:18 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
