Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, February 25, at 8:30 a.m.

All of our wetsuits are marked down. Come check it out while the selection is still good. We also have tons of really cool softboards in stock from Catch Surf and SofTech. Come check ‘em out.

Surf at Folly this morning is waist-to-stomach high with chest high sets.

Winds are southerly at 10 to 12 knots, and surf zone is bumpy and choppy, but it still looks pretty fun.

Look winds to continue south around 10 knots until mid-afternoon, when winds increase south-westerly at 15 to 20, chopping up the surf.

We have a high tide at 9 a.m., and a  low tide will be at 2:59 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:05 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.9 ft. at 7 seconds in south/south-east wind swell.

A warm front lifts north today sending in plenty of south-east wind swell at the beach. Then, a pair of cold fronts approach late this afternoon, pushing up more south-west wind swell, with south-west winds increasing late today into Wednesday. There should be some south swell to ride, though the wind will be picking up later today. Thursday, high pressure and off-shore winds should blow down the surf as the temperature drops again after a cold front. Surf looks to get small for the weekend and into the middle of next week, so get some while you can.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A warm front will lift north through the area this morning, followed by a pair of cold fronts late Wednesday. High pressure returns Thursday and Friday, with a weak cold front expected Saturday. High pressure will again prevail early next week.”

It’s 60* with rain this morning. Look for rain today and a high of 67*.

Water temperature is around 56*.

Sunrise is at 6:51 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:13 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
