Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Tuesday, Feb 6th at 8:00 a.m.
The Pier is looking fairly clean with some lefts sneaking through. Wind is blowing pretty strong out of the north, but there are few sets here and there.
Winds are currently north at 20 knots, and surf-zone is pretty clean and drifty. North winds continue throughout the day at 20-25 knots.
Low tide is at 10:47 a.m. We have one high tide today at 4:32 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 11.2 feet at 7.7 seconds east/north-east wind swell.
Strong winds continue out of the north today. There is some high angled wind-swell in the water and is mostly passing us by. Some sets are sneaking in for decent lefts this morning. Winds to stay out of the north overnight into Wednesday, most likely knocking it down. May be some leftovers, but we will have to wait and see. We will keep you updated.
Water temp is around 55*.
The NOAA Marine Forecast for our waters calls for: “High pressure will prevail through late in the week. A cold front should move through our area early next week.”
It’s 46* and partly cloudy with strong winds. Look for a high of 56* today, and sunshine in the afternoon.
Sunrise is 7:10 a.m., Sunset 5:56 p.m.
That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
