Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Tuesday, Jan 30th at 8:45 a.m.

Today surf at the Pier is flat.

Winds are currently north-east  at 5 knots, but the surf zone is clean.

Look for easterly winds around 5 knots today becoming south/south-west in the evening

High tide will be at 10:25 a.m. Low tide will be at 4:34 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 2 feet at 9 seconds from the east/north-east, passing right by us.

Not much out there today or the near future. There is a downward trend in surf conditions for most of the work week as winds stay side-shore or off-shore all week long. Looks like a chance for surf on Sunday entering next week.

NOAA Forecast: “An area of low pressure will move through the Carolinas late tonight through Wednesday. High pressure will then rebuild across the region through the rest of the week. Current water temp is back up to 55* after all this warm weather.“

It’s 47* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 58* today and sun with light wind at the beach today.

Sunrise is 7:14 a.m., Sunset 5:50 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
