The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.3 ft. at 5 seconds in a west/south-west wind swell, with a long-period easterly swell, 1 ft. at 8 seconds.
It’s cold 52* this morning and partly cloudy. Look for a nice beach day with mostly sunshine and a high of 67*.

Surf looks to stay small almost all of the work week, through Friday, when we see a storm system begin its push through our marine area. This should build another significant south wind swell Friday and into the weekend, with moderate south winds increasing Saturday then moving off-shore on Sunday, when we see cleaner surf with rapidly dropping south swell. It’s pretty far out, but keep an eye on the timing of the front late week and into the weekend. We could see significant trade wind swell for next week as high pressure sets up well off the Mid-Atlantic states, but we’ll keep you updated.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A mostly rain free cold front will push through today with high pressure returning through the middle of the week. Unsettled weather is then likely later this week through early next week as a series of fronts affect the area.”
