Good morning this is Brad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, January 17th at 8:30 a.m.

Surf is showing a small pulse around shin-to-knee high may improve on the tide push. A bit small to ride at the moment.

Winds are south-west 10 knots providing a textured surface on an overall cleaner wave.  Winds should remain the same direction throughout the day with a slight increase in speed to 13 knots.

Low tide this morning will be at 9:43 a.m. Look for todays high tide to follow at 3:28 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.0 feet at 12.1 seconds in a long period east swell.

Surf looks lackluster and inconsistent this morning. The incoming high tide mid-afternoon might produce a mini ride for those looking to get wet today. High pressure continues to run the show for us keeping our surf generally down through mid-week. A cold front makes it was later this week pushing though Thursday night producing a small but fun quick shot of SSW wind-swell. Another system looks to be right behind that end of the week front that could bump our surf back up later this weekend. Well keep ya in the loop.

Our NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A weak cold front will dissipate well to the northwest of the area today. Another cold front will move through Thursday night, with a storm system to likely impact the region this weekend.”

It’s a cool 49*at the beach this morning with plenty of sun. Look for an overall high of 68 degrees and clear skies.

Water temperature, it’s 55*.

Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:38 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
