Surf at the Washout is around knee high and breaking kind of close to shore as we approach low tide. It shows some potential with the northerly angle, just needs more water.

Winds are NW at 5 knots and surf is clean.

Look for N winds around 10 knots this afternoon before wind switches from the SW at 10 to 20 knots later this afternoon.

Low tide will be at 11:48 a.m., and high tide will be at 6:14 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 5 seconds in a combination of NNW wind swell/E swell.

We surf varying today as Tropical Storm Chris moves off the North Carolina coast. Winds will remain in our favor this morning before switching this afternoon from the SW. As the tide comes in this evening, there still may be some remnants. The swell should rotate more east/south-east later in the work week as the remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl possibly move into our swell window.  Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will build over the region into the middle of the week while Tropical Storm Chris tracks slowly away from the North Carolina coast. A broad area of low pressure will develop along a slowly passing front Thursday and Friday, before lingering near the region through late weekend. High pressure should then return early next week.

It is 78 and sunny at Folly this morning. Look for a high of 94* and sun today.

Water temperature is 86*.

Sunset is at 8:30 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:18 a.m.
