Clean.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Moderate
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: None.

Good morning. This is Eazy-mf-E with your 8am surf report for Tuesday, July 23.

Waves at Folly have dropped off slightly, showing knee-thigh high looks  fun for the higher volume sleds again if you didn’t get any yesterday!

Winds are light and variable early clean conditions, although winds will eventually pick up into the 10-15kt range from the SW.

High tide is at 10:05 am with a low tide at 4:04 pm.

The Edisto buoy reads 3.3ft at 8 seconds from the ESE

Strong high pressure still sets well offshore creating a moderate trade swell. Summer like log/fish waves are currently showing thigh-waist high range. This trend continues this week but shouldn’t get any bigger really than what your seeing now. Tropics are quite for now.

The water temperature is around 86*.

Your NOAA National Marine Weather Forecast for Charleston’s marine area calls for: “High pressure will persist across the Atlantic while weak low pressure lingers across the Southeast. A weak front could drop into the area this weekend, then dissipate”.

It’s currently 82* and sunny.  High today is 87* with a few passing clouds. Gonna be a beautiful day at the beach with 40% chance of rain.

Sunrise 6:29 a.m., Sunset 8:25 p.m. That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow
