Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Tuesday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at Folly this morning is knee to thigh high. Tide is low, so it should build a little bit on the incoming, but it’s summer surf at Folly, so don’t expect too much. Looks kind of like a carbon copy of yesterday morning.
Winds are west at 10 knots, so it is nice and clean.
Winds will eventually shift south-west at 15 knots with a higher gust. Look for typical choppy, south-west summer swell this afternoon.
We have a low tide this morning at 10:37 a.m.. We have a high tide at 5:09 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3 feet at 5 seconds in a short-period south wind swell.
We should see a little south/south-west wind wave averaging thigh high for the remainder of the work week. Look for choppy conditions, and waves averaging thigh high with waist high sets. Probably best to get it in the mornings for cleanest conditions before winds come hard south-west and weather gets HOT.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “The front could linger across the region through much of the week before shifting offshore or dissipating this weekend. A cold front should then approach the region early next week.
Water temperature is around 77*.
Its 77* with hazy conditions. Look for a high of around 80* and sun and clouds mixed. Might be a thunderstorm late afternoon with the humidity.
Sunrise is at 6:11 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:27 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
