Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, June 27 at 8:30 a.m.
Coming at you from the pier on the low tide this Monday morning.
Surf is still showing waist-to-stomach with chest sets on this morning’s low tide. Overall, the morning incoming tide could be fun, even if the waves aren’t huge.
Winds are moderate out of the west at around 10 knots, and surf zone is nice and clean.
We have a low tide at 8:51 a.m. high tide will fill in at 3:33 p.m. with another low concluding our day at 9:41 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 6 feet at 9 seconds in long period ESE ground-swell.
Still looking decent this morning with side/off-shore winds and plenty of swell in the water. Both Tropical Storms Cindy and Brett are no longer with us as of this morning, both have dissipated. But have managed to send in some swell for the start of the work week. Look for a gradual fading trend Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Wednesday winds look to improve and come more northerly and offshore cleaning our leftovers up. Looking ahead the end of our week looks to stay down with a chance of decent trade-swell from an offshore high pressure for this weekend. Well keep you posted.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will build into the area from the west through Friday, then a Bermuda ridge will develop this weekend.”
Water temperature is around 80*
Its hot and humid 83 and* plenty of sunshine this morning. Temps will eventually climb to a high of 89* with sunshine persisting. It’s summer weather for sure. Sunrise is at 6:12 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m
