Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, March 22 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at The Washout this morning is knee high. May be fun cruisers for the high volume or longboard option as the tide pushes in.

Winds are east 3-5 knots and surf zone has a little bump on it. Minimal swell in the water, but there is a little line to it.

Look for south-east winds at 5-10 knots, increasing to 10-15 late this afternoon.

We have a high tide at 11:28 a.m., and a low tide at 5:36 p.m. today.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 feet at 10 seconds in a long-period east/south-easterly swell.

Smaller surf continues today. We see another storm system approaching our waters for mid-week, and with it we will see south/south-west winds and another south wind swell fill in for Wednesday into Thursday. This cleans up and drops for Friday after a cold front passage. Surf falls off Saturday into Sunday.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail today. A storm system will then impact the area mid week. High pressure will return thereafter.”

It’s currently 61* and partly cloudy this morning. Look for a high of 70* and partly to mostly cloudy.

Water Temperature is around 64*.

Sunrise is at 7:20 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:32 p.m.
